Do you actually own a CD key, or did you copy it from someone? If the latter, then the site might be recognizing it as foreign, and not let you in the english section. |

I have my own legit cdkey yes. I have tryed to use both the WC3-ROC and the WC3-TFT and none of them worked. I also tryed making a new Bnet account which completed successfully but again in the forums the message was the same :( --------------------------- Reaper (*cocky*): the grim Reaper has arrived! Diablo Forums are weird. I was having the same issue for a good while. The only way I have found to log in and post a thread is by using a diablo key. --------------------------- http://www.youtube.com/joeorangesc Highest Rank in Platinum 1v1 48 Highest Rank in Platinum RT 10 |

MrJack - May 20, 05:26 PM That would be the case, as Joe pointed out — Requires any Diablo II cd-key ![]() Yeah... got there myself just now from one new post there at the forums... too bad that I cannot find that info anywhere even now actively searching for it, nor does it appear when my log in fails... Could you maybe post the link of that page you posted the image? Thank you. [edit] Nevermind, found it on the main page... I always go from the D3 official site so... ah! so many hours trying to fix this... :( --------------------------- Reaper (*cocky*): the grim Reaper has arrived! Diablo 1 doesn't need a cd-key . . . (which is annoying, since it also means there's no way to prove you own it in the new Battle.net lists :P ) --------------------------- ![]() |

Blizzard is gay. There, I said it. To architect I have an account that seemed to work, you want it? I have no interest in online Diablo II, and I think somebody else has it (lol), but it worked for bnet forums. --------------------------- Terror must be maintained. Ixian are you saying that because they lock their forums from user's without a cd key? Why wouldn't they? Anyone who doesn't play the game should not be giving feedback on the game itself because they haven't played it. If they have played it, then they have a CD key. Makes sense to me... --------------------------- Watch the video to find out why "I Am Second" ![]() Have you voted yet? Vote now! |

Webnet - May 27, 03:04 AM Ixian are you saying that because they lock their forums from user's without a cd key? Webnet - May 27, 03:04 AM Why wouldn't they? Anyone who doesn't play the game should not be giving feedback on the game itself because they haven't played it. If they have played it, then they have a CD key. Did you ever even visit the battle.net forums? Saw what an unmoderated horrible heap of mess it is? They don't even moderate it yet they're selective of what users visit it? Isn't that a bit RETARDED? Who does that? What company does that besides Blizzard? This is the first time I've ever encountered CD key requirement for a forum. Blizzard is not concerned with board quality, that is bullshit. The presence of a CD key, even buying of the game does not make a person better or worse than other. In fact, the tendency seems to be backwards. Blizzard forums are proof of that. All those people have legit CD keys and probably have bought the game. Not a very nice population, is it? What about offline people? They could care less of their CD key, they don't need it. I guess it's proof again that Blizzard doesn't care about its offline population. And if it doesn't, why should I be considerate of Blizzard? Webnet - May 27, 03:04 AM Makes sense to me... --------------------------- Terror must be maintained. I do agree with how they require CD Keys, I don't agree that it's not moderated more strictly. People without CD keys don't belong on those forums. Despite all the garbage Blizzard does respond to the few intelligent posters. The presence of a CD key, even buying of the game does not make a person better or worse than other. It makes their opinion of a game have legitimate value because they've actually played it. I'm not sure what you mean when you're talking about "offline" people. --------------------------- Watch the video to find out why "I Am Second" ![]() Have you voted yet? Vote now! |

Web, I played World of Warcraft for 2 years. I played a little bit almost every day. I currently do not play WoW. The moment my subscription ran out I was no longer allowed to post on the WoW forums. Does the fact that I am no longer a subscriber lessen the value of my opinion or value I can give to the WoW community? (even though I purchased the game for the full price) I think that there are some very valuable things a user that is no longer playing a game can give back to the community. Heck I think a user who has never played the game could bring to the community (money to the developer for one). This WoW example can be applied to any Blizzard game. Someone who stops playing Diablo or SC may place their CD in the attic or throw it away should still be able to post. Their opinion or views on the game should not be less important to Blizzard; it should be more. Honestly I think that this will not be an issue for much longer. Once battle.net 2.0 gets its act together with all the forums it won't be necessary to memorize, write down, or go to a certain page to get your CD key just to post on Blizzard forums. I always thought it was so stupid for Blizzard to Require CD Keys. That simple requirement has kept me away from the forums for some time now. --------------------------- http://www.youtube.com/joeorangesc Highest Rank in Platinum 1v1 48 Highest Rank in Platinum RT 10 |
